I am in agreement with the mission of the Cascade Gateway Foundation: to protect and preserve the resources of the Snoqualmie Valley through education, communication, administrative, and legal advocacy. The Cascade Gateway Foundation welcomes like-minded individuals and collaborative affiliations with like-minded organizations. I am further in agreement that the Grouse Ridge mining proposal by Cadman, Inc., and Weyerhaeuser Corp. put forward in April, 1998, would be destructive to the Snoqualmie Valley, and I will support the efforts of the Cascade Gateway Foundation to oppose this proposal.
